When most people head off on a sun-soaked holiday, a simple pair of flip flops will suffice for hanging around the pool with her boyfriend, Travis McCoy.
But that was certainly not the case when Katy Perry was packing for her mini-break in Mexico for Christmas on Friday, December 26, 2008.
The 23-year-old singer evidently chose style over comfort when it came to her poolside, and looked mildly ridiculous as she teetered around in a green two piece stilettos.
Living the good life sipping on beers and reading some trashy literature like Madonna's unauthorized biography written by her brother.
There's nothing like ending the year with a little pampering in the warm sun and after seeing her on red carpet after red carpet around the world throughout 2008, the beauty deserves the break.
